Food is absolutely delicious. This is a great spot if you love Indian food. If you are looking for something new and never had India cuisine, stop in. It's a great place to start.

I highly recommend this restaurant! I stopped by on a Monday evening, and was impressed with the efficiency of the staff and great taste of the food. I ordered the samosas, plain naan, chicken tikka masala (the BEST I have ever tasted), and butter chicken.

Amazing food and even better service. Clay Oven is a staple in our household. I'd highly recommend it as a date night or family outing for everyone. Great environment you'll leave full with extra food because they are a well serving and want more with in the week. Definitely a Solano County hidden gem.

My Co-workers and I celebrated our company thanksgiving there last night. It was AMAZING FOOD and I tried several different dishes. The restaurant manager was incredibly funny and charming and the rest of the staff was very friendly also.

Delicious and authentic Indian food! Nice atmosphere and great drinks!!
The best Butter chicken and naan bread!! Never disappointed!!

Coming into the restaurant, what immediately struck me were the decorations and the atmosphere inside. The tall roof gives the restaurant a very spacious feel. On top of the comforting, relaxing interior, our server, Eldon, managed to further lighten up the mood through his easygoing personality and his lively banter. The food here was exceptional as the portions were large and flavorful. We had gotten the lunch specials for an affordable price and we had to order more rice for the curry. Throughout our meal Eldon kept us entertained with short, interesting anecdotes about his experiences working. Our dining experience was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for affordable, yet delicious Indian food in the area

Great service in an elegant setting. The food was excellent , got my favorite Indian dish, butter chicken. When they ask how spicy you want it, keep in mind, hot means HOT!!! Great cocktails too!!

The food was fresh, delicious and flavorful. The service was awesome. The decor was beautiful. And there was a full bar!!! I will definitely be coming back!

Bomb Indian food in Vacaville. Clay Oven Grill & Bar in Vacaville is a superb location for some excellent Indian food. The restaurant is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Food has been over the top excellent! Do yourself a favor and go! The service has been beyond amazing the last few times. Friendly, funny, welcoming and just an over all wonderful experience. You feel like a friend, there is pride in what they serve and they all appreciate your business, unlike other local restaurants.
Keep it up Clay Oven!

If you ask me if I would suggest eating at clay oven when you're in the mood for some Chicken Tikka Masala or good indian food in general I'd say " NO, I do not suggest you eat there because there is no question if you should go, just go".
The spices are all blended very well with each other and there is even a nice taste of creamyness. It's not to spicy or tomatoe-y, nor does it have an overwhelming taste. If you eat it with a slice of their garlic naan, it won't disappoint.
I've tried Indian food from different places and this is the only one that I have found where I know it will always taste good and that it will also stay consistent.
